How we make money

We want you to know when a commercial relationship could influence how we are paid. Here is the plain-English version.

Referrals

If we introduce a buyer to a mortgage adviser or another service, we may receive a referral fee in future. There is no active referral panel or paid referral arrangement at present. If that changes, we will disclose the relationship where you see the referral and explain who may pay us.

Affiliate links

We may earn a commission if you follow an affiliate link and buy or sign up for a service. That does not change the price you pay unless the link clearly says otherwise. We currently have no active affiliate agreements, and provider links remain unavailable until an approved destination and terms are in place.

Advertising

We may show advertising in future. Any paid placement will be identified as advertising or sponsored content. Advertisers do not buy a better review or a higher editorial recommendation.

Editorial independence

Commercial relationships do not determine our educational content or the order of independent information. We aim to explain limits, cite useful sources and correct material errors. We are not a lender, law firm or financial adviser, and our guides are general information rather than personal advice.
